Christmas is nearly here and that means lots of fun and festive local events to enjoy! Whether you're planning a romantic stroll around the Christmas markets or some festive family fun, there are so many magical things to do, in and around Leighton Buzzard…

Leighton Buzzard Christmas Festival - 30th November to 2nd December 2019

Organised by Leighton-Linslade Town Council in conjunction with LB First, this three day festival will provide something for everyone. The Christmas craft and gift market will give shoppers an opportunity to buy something special for friends and family, and there will be a wide variety of scrumptious food stalls to enjoy. The main stage will provide live entertainment from local community groups and the ever popular funfair will also be there to keep the little ones busy. In addition, there will be a giant snow globe, balloon modelling and Christmas biscuit decorating.

Leighton Buzzard Railway - December

Throughout December Leighton Buzzard’s vintage steam railway will be hosting a range of fun and festive train journeys, including the very popular ‘Santa’s Steam Specials’. This includes a 25-minute steam-train ride over a historic narrow-gauge railway to meet Santa in his grotto. Here the children (up to the age of 12) will receive a special Christmas gift from Santa himself, while the grown-ups enjoy the free seasonal refreshments.

The Night Before Christmas at the Leighton Buzzard Library Theatre - Saturday 7th December 2019

The Night Before Christmas is a dazzling and delightful performance which captures every child's excitement on Christmas Eve. The story follows the festive adventures of the Secret Society of Santa Hunters (SSSH!) as they track Father Christmas' movements with a range of daft and entertaining scientific experiments.
